Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Ministry Team is an evolving and dynamic ministry dedicated to the service of others, either individually or in a group setting.  The areas we cover include:

Stephen Ministry

(contact Lori Pesciotta at 207-475-6211)

Now in its fourth year of active ministry, we have 15 Stephen Ministers who provide spiritual companionship & connection to our members and community.  They also care for individuals and elderly at Sentry Hill and Kittery Estates.  Everyone can use a little help now & then, and our Stephen Ministers are here to help.

Benedictine Spirituality Group

(contact Julie Littlefield at 857-225-0008)

This is a group open to anyone who wants to explore ways of balancing their lives, in work, leisure, and prayer. We study and discuss the Rule of Benedict, developed in the 5th century A.D. by Benedict of Nursia, Italy. It is as relevant today as it was then.

Transportation Ministry

(contact Laurie O’Connor at 603-285-3606)

This ministry provides transportation for our members to Church services, medical appointments and other needs.

Eucharistic Visitors

(contact Sudie Blanchard at 207-351-5467)

A long-standing ministry of our Church, the Eucharistic Visitors provide Holy Communion to anyone who requests it if they are unable to attend Church Services.

Prayer Support Ministry

(contact Nancy Daigle at 207-703-9059)

By offering prayers for those on our prayer list, and sending cards with healing messages, gratitude or just to say hello, this ministry complements the other ministries providing ongoing support.

Pastoral Caregivers

(contact Deborah Field at 207-361-4730)

This is a new ministry whose primary purpose is to call several members weekly to lift them up in prayer for the week.

Meal Train

(contact Pauline Cashman at 207-363-5619)

A long-standing ministry at St. George’s, we will continue to deliver meals when requested for those who are sick or in need.

For any needs, please call (except as noted above) 207-363-7376 Ext. 106 and do leave a message if we can’t answer.
