The youth group will serve burgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs to raise funds for their mission trip to Kentucky this summer. You are also welcome to sign up in the Fellowship Hall to bring a salad or dessert to help make this a church fellowship event. Suggested donation is $8 per person, or a total of $25 per family.

If you’d like to join in the fun of our annual Christmas Pageant, please join us for practice this Sunday, December 18, directly following the 10:30AM service. We won’t keep you long! Roles and costumes will be assigned, and we will do a practice run.
Children who attend church school will be fitted during the 10:30 Sunday School class to make the best use of time. If there are adults that also wish to be fitted during church school, please feel free to join us downstairs! Everyone will gather in costume for practice together following the 10:30 service.
Then on December 24, our second and final practice will take place at 4PM (one hour prior to the Christmas Eve service).
Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
All around us are families in financial need. Each year, St. George’s adopts several families with very limited means who have young children, and provides the material goods to celebrate Christmas. We call it “The Giving Tree.”
This year we’ll be assisting six anonymous families. We hang tags from The Giving Tree with an item listed on each tag. Parishioners may take a tag, purchase the item, and return it wrapped with the tag attached to the outside of the package.
We ask for some toys for the children and then many practical needs like warm clothing, blankets, grocery gift cards, cards for gas, and the food to make a Christmas dinner and stock the pantry for school vacation week. The families receive their gifts the week before Christmas.
Food items do not need to be wrapped but please attach the tag. Please bring all items to the church by Sunday, December 17. Wrapped items can be left under the tree but gift cards are best left in the drop box outside the office with the tag attached. We are not able to get any items to the families after the pick-up date.
If you have any questions please call Karen Gilroy 363-3904. Thank you for making this ministry possible, and for the love and hope we bring to these families.
